Recent Work
Now for the recent paintings. The first was painted for the most part " en plein air" at the Leo Carillo Ranch in Carlsbad California.  As always, it was a difficult subject to paint in a few hours but I think it turned out fairly well. I do need to crop the image. Please be patient, I am still learning!

The next painting was painted en plein air at the lookout point above Dana Paint Harbor in California. Again, this was a difficult subject.
The last painting was created alla prima from a reference photo I took in Laguana Beach ,CA.
I have also included a pic of me sketching on the beach.
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my new work! Keep painting!

Whimsical...

This is one of my newest paintings . it isn't finished yet but I like the soft colors and the whimsical feel of the tulips this was painted from a live still life in my studio .

"He's Watching Over Us"

This is one of my earlier paintings. You won't find it on my web site, It sold right away. This is "Titled He's Watching Over Us." I have always felt that God is looking down on us when I see the sky like this. It is one of those rare occasions when you feel really safe. and secure. If you look closely at this painting you will see a dove and a fish... Unintentional or subconscious? Please respect my copyright and let me know if you would like a print!
